Cowtown SKATE

Rooted in community development, Cowtown S.K.A.T.E. is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to physical, mental, and social health benefits of skateboarding.With M3F’s help, Cowtown S.K.A.T.E. is able to put on a 4-week program by the name of Skate & Create for the second year.

Skate & Create was a hybrid skate clinic that introduced kids to graphic design and skateboarding fundamentals.

In the clinic, students learned how to skateboard and graphic design fundamentals to create their skateboard that they got to take home.

The dynamics of the programs gave kids the opportunity to show them how fun physical activities can be and possibly an interest in graphic design and art.
